You should install the latest Skyrim patches and keep your game updated. If you run a lot of these mods, Skyrim might simply not have enough memory and crash.

Pinpointing how this occurred is typically difficult and changes on a case-by-case basis. However, even those who have never modded their game might suffer from a corrupt version of Skyrim out of the blue. Unfortunately, your best bet to fix this type of error is to reinstall the game entirely or validate the integrity of your game files.

At first I thought it was just a random bug in the game, so I reloaded the game and kept on playing, but then the crash reoccurred in a different time and place, I had been playing for about 45 min at that point. I had recently downloaded a couple new mods my total mod selection is around 85 to mods installed , and thats when these few crashes began to occur. I havent been able to play a good long session of Skyrim for a while now, and am wondering what is causing my game to crash?

I tried disabling the most recent mods that Ive downloaded, as it was after downloading them that the crashes started happening , but that didnt seem to work. I even tried disabling and eventually deleting SSEUSP, but that didnt seem to have an effect, I had been reading that the patch was causing frequent game crashes.

I feel my load order is more than adequate as Ive organized all my mods into specific categories. If anyone has an idea of whats going on, or needs more info to verify the problem, please let me know as skyrim is one of my favorite games, and I want to continue playing it. User Info: BlacKlanHax. Accepted Answer. Mods can cause quite a bit of trouble as I've noticed myself.

I try checking the ratings of the mods and do a little research before downloading.
